Oranges and Tea

I know I haven't been the best at posting, but I have done something everyday! I can't believe it's already the 20th! Wow.

I made an orange pomander. (I tried to create a sprial pattern; think I need more cloves.) Now my closest smells glorious. I might make one for my bathroom. I love the citrus cinnamon smell.

I drew my tea packet while I drank my tea yesterday. It was very well designed and caught my eye. The tea was good, but my stomach did not feel so great afterward. Bummer.

I drew a really quick sketch today at brunch. I might doodle something else before I go to bed......or finish packing a secret box of wonder for my friend. :)

Sketches

I've been drawing something everyday,  but I'm not that great at posting them. This isn't today's drawing, it is from the last two days.

I got a book on how to draw plants, and of course the first plant I draw are mushrooms. Don't know why, but I like mushrooms, maybe because they aren't as intimidating to draw and flowers or trees. I like how these came out.

Yesterday I drew Totoros. One of my favorite movies from when I was a child is "My Neighbor Totoro" written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. I watched this before I knew what Japanese animation was. I continue to enjoy his films.

Pictures and a Drawing

The drawing is from yesterday. I just hadn't posted it. It is just a quick sketch. I wish I had had my camera yesterday night. I went to a swing dance workshop and it felt like I had walked into a time machine. It was a lot of fun. More dancing = more art in motion.

Today's TAD was some pictures. It was hard to limit it down to these few.

The yellow orchids make me think of dancers in bright yellow dress.

Ikebana is something I've been interested in trying, but I know I would not keep up with it right now. Maybe sometime in the future. I really liked the little hobbit hole I found, it made me smile. And someone gave me a little flower from Hawaii today. It has a very strong smell.

Enjoy the pictures!
